What To Do?
If old Dean Raymond was still a force at the school and I asked him to blog, he'd probably be saying something like "Blogs are exciting, but we want to create something special with a personal relationship. Virtual relationships don't hew closely to the biblical model." He'd probably say it better than that, too. 'Cause he'd be talking to me in person.
However, this is a Brave New World. The school now acts and relates differently. So, why not reach out to the alumni crowd? Start a blog from the Development office, or the Admissions office. We have an alumni coordinator. Official alumni blogger? Let us comment, and respond to the comments. Inform us of the big picture, and celebrate the little things of faith.
Not a big position: maybe 15 hours a week.
Until then, how about this: I'd like to see how far up in the Google search for "Covenant College" our little Covenant alumni blogging effort can get. Our voice is important too. The first alumni blog doesn't appear before page 6 of the Google results (way to go Josiah).
Think of it as civil protest. Justin is in. First page of hits for Covenant College contains alumni spelling out the College’s current woes? Ouch. That would get noticed. A group blog might garner even more Google juice.
Cool link: Popular Amazon purchases at Covenant.

That link came back with no information. Apparently Covenant College students aren't buying enough books off of Amazon to register. What with the pricing hike, we're all buying our books down at McKay's... :)

Not sure what you're saying about the literary life of students, or about their pocketbooks.
My personal favorite purchasing circle is Yale's. New way to find a grad school match?
