Umlauts, the Spinal Tap Logo, evil Nazis, Comment Spam...This One Has It All!
Jon Udell of Infoworld has been hyping his "screencast" innovation for a while. I finally gave in and checked one out. Oh, what a doozy! The screencast itself--screen captures, edited with narration--seems to be an update of your TV news into "people with enough time on their hands living la vida digita". Fun for a hobby or special event, not concise enough for daily life for either the viewer or the creator. Perhaps I'm just a more word-oriented learner, but the value added doesn't seem that great. But when it's over a subject like the heavy metal umlaut entry in Wikipedia, I'll give up eight minutes of my time. Rock on!

I've never watched the whole Spinal Tap movie before; it's now at the top of my blockbuster.com queue due to that screencast. Umlauts over the n...I'll be laughing about that one for days.
